If you want a good, relevant link from LinkedIn that is dofollow’ed and on which you can control the anchor-text here’s a quick tip.
Sign in to your LinkedIn profile and go to the “Edit Public Profile Settings” page. Make sure you have at least “Websites” checked as public – this way you make your websites links crawlable to Google + other SE’s. (You can also check more content to be public to create a good context for your links).
Then you click the “Edit my profile” link and you click “edit” in the Websites field. When you enter/edit a link it is important the you choose “Other:” in the dropdown box.

This will allow you to write your own anchor text to your link (I like!). So instead of e.g. having the default “My blog” anchor text you can now enter your own. I entered my name “Søren Holm” on the link to my blog in order to tell SE’s that my blog is relevant to that search term. Here you can see how the links appear on my public LinkedIn profile.
